Rackspace VMware Private Cloud Product Management Lead in San Antonio, Texas

Our private cloud-as-a-service offering includes leading technologies (OpenStack, VMware, Microsoft), can be deployed in any data center and includes the industry’s first pay-as-you-go private cloud solution.
As we continue to grow revenue at a double-digit year over year pace, we need an exceptional individual to lead product management for our VMware Private Cloud-as-a-Service business.
This individual will be responsible for all product management activities in support of our VMware Private Cloud-as-a-Service business including:
Establish the product strategy and vision for VMware related offerings
Developing differentiated VMware offerings for the market
Managing the VMware product roadmap
Lead product relationship with partners, including VMWare
Partner with product engineering, product architects, solution architects and sales to solicit feedback and confirm product direction
Participate in marketing related activities, including analyst, press and customer events
Manage a team of product management resources focused on VMware
Monitor solution adoption and utilization in order to optimize features/functionality
Partner with finance and GTM ops organizations to develop and monitor solution pricing, profitability, growth rates, gaps to market, pipeline health, and sales forecasts
Partner with the VMware Product Marketing team to enable marketing and sales through sales collateral, training sessions, call scripts, web content, expertise, etc.
Proactive self-starter who is comfortable taking somewhat ill-defined direction and turning it into clear deliverables and business impact in a highly dynamic environment
Ability to communicate and lead cross functionally across the organization without direct management
Solid business and financial acumen
Demonstrated ability to influence across organizations and implement programs across multiple teams
Ability to develop strong working relationships with cross-functional leaders, executives, operations, finance, marketing and sales team members
Demonstrated track record of strong leadership and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills are critical.
Must be able to collaborate and influence in a global, matrix environment to effectively balance Regional and functional priorities for win-win results.
Highest level of knowledge of all Rackspace products, as well as relevant hosting technologies and trends, company policies, and practices.
Thought leader with regards to B2B product marketing processes and operational planning techniques, as well as competitive, market, customer, and business research. Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.

8+ years experience in product management, product marketing, technical solutions, or consulting function required with progressive responsibilities and proven results
5+ years in high tech/cloud industry required
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Technology or related curriculum
MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
